My youngest daughter has just returned from a 780km walk across Spain.

Read about it on her blog at… http://www.mycancerand.me/camino-santiago/

(By the way, Jen was diagnosed with dyslexia when due to sit her GCSEs at 15…
Setbacks? hurdles? …not a problem.)
What a wonderful example to us all

they even managed to get a budget flight back to the UK without any last-minute cancellations (which is a problem at every UK airport at the moment. Apparently since they laid off all the airport staff during lockdown, they can’t re-employ enough to run the airports.)

Same here. We haven’t even tried to fly anywhere.

My writer friend has recently finished a novel inspired by walking parts of the Camino Way and I am reading it at this very moment. I feel like I know the way quite well with my friend sharing the writing of her book at writers’ group sessions. I shall head over to your daughter’s blog now.

She’s off to Oxford now to meet a friend for a few days. Not what you or I would call a relaxing six month break from work.

There is nothing quite like a big challenge to take your mind off cancer and life in general. I certainly admire people who can get out of their comfort zone to do so. I look forward to reading more about her walk as I do regarding your blog.
