This was news to me.
I’ve downloaded the app and connected to my local library today.
Hello, SEers! You’re with Mae as we venture a bit deeper into February. Today,I’d like to share an app that makes borrowing Kindle books from your local library remarkably easy. I have no affiliation with the makers ofLibby, nor am I receiving compensation for this post. As an avid reader, I simply couldn’t resist sharing.
How many times have you considered purchasing an ebook but hesitated because you weren’t certain the story would be a good fit, or the price was higher than you wanted to spend? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could borrow that book without cost?
You can download Libby from the App Store or Google Play (depending on our mobile device). If you’re not already a member of your local library, sign up! Library membership is free and offers a wealth of services.

I’m not sure when I’ll use it, as I have a lengthy TBR list already and I’ve hardly been in our local library since I joined it when we moved here eleven years ago. But, being an ex-librarian, I feel I ought to be a member.

it’s nice to stay up to date with these sorts of things.

This is very popular here, although I sometimes have to wait a bit until a copy is available.

Yes, the only book I looked up has a long waiting list… but then I have a long TBR list.

My library originally had a very easy to use App for borrowing books. A few years later they changed it and I haven’t been able to figure it out yet.
I planned to go in for an info session, but I was headed to Colombia and couldn’t find the time. You know what happened next. Additionally, the library is undergoing a huge renovation and they haven’t had time to give the seminars and manage to keep open.

since restructuring and cuts, ours never seems to be open when I’m in town these days.
