Tommy

At the end of last year, I was greatly cheered by winning the Eyrie Press short story competition.

Eyrie Press is a local publisher whose annual short story competition is limited to writers around our counties of East Anglia. I have been shortlisted in the past, which has always, in itself, been a boost to my confidence in the uninspiring dark days of winter. This is my first win, with a story originally writtten to a writing group monthly “homework” prompt.

Tommy was published this month in The Fens, a local magazine.

It isn’t winter everywhere… (hold that thought!)

What has unexpectedly cheered you through these dark days of social winter distancing.
